Think Outside the Box

The perfect window box is not just about the box. Yes, this one is planted with an exquisitely wild jumble of colors and textures, but would it be as charming without that wonderful little window opened up to reveal pots of topiaries inside ... or the espaliered apple trees providing a leafy framework outside ... or even the carefree garden planted beneath, with its multi-colored blooms reaching up with abandonment to meet the tumble of flowers from above?

I wish I had the courage to paint my house that perfect shade of pink.

Scale of the window box is of UTTER importance.

No screen at the window is of HUGE importance.

Landscape design is about keep-it-simple-sweetie. But. This is the exception.

More is less !!

I'm with you... a pink house would be perfection to live in! With black shutters and lots of window boxes! Beautiful image! Thanks for the dreamy visit!

Pink will fade , like red does in the sun. Pretty though, Florida has a lot of pink houses..Pretty post.

Perfect picture. I might try shutters, too, just because I like them with this look.

I'd love to have house that color, too, although it would definitely clash with our orangish brick and my husband's taste. How about a small garden shed in the back yard to start?
