This stone linen with cream patent leather trim would match the inside of my house. (I'd lose the little mirror.)Since I've joined ideeli and Hautelook, I've been stressing out daily over which fabulous purse to buy at which greatly discounted price, and have decided I need a new strategy for dressing.
I decided to pare down my wardrobe to fewer neutral pieces (mostly white, since that has always been my favorite color, and it works in a hot climate better than black.) So, now I'm obsessing over accessories.
A nice large tote in a chic fabric. (Again, the mirror needs to go inside the bag, not outside.)Please don't tell my husband, but I have succombed (several times!), and am now anxiously awaiting the fed ex guy.

Another wonderful fabric done up in a chic retro style.
Today's envy: these handbags from the Lulu Guinness sale. They are all great for summer, don't you think? Lulu's designs tend to be very girly, which is not normally my style – but these are a bit more subdued and seriously tempting with my favorite materials – linen, wicker and fabric.
Or, maybe I just need to step away from the computer ...

My heroine, the late Gilda Radner, famously said, "It's always something." If you're a fan of Gilda, you might enjoy this Audition skit. She's totally charming and funny and unique.

Ohhhh... I found a vintage black wicker one with and then a plain wicker one bamboo handles last year. It's gorgeous!
Here.
You can never have too many handbags Lana....that is what I tell myself! Have a wonderful weekend, xv.
Meg - I love your bags – and being "recycled" is a plus!
Vicki - I'm thinking you are right! I'm thinking I'll spend less time putting together an outfit and a little more changing my handbag.

I just checked on the bags, and the ones I liked were sold out. I need to check earlier next time.
SD - I'm sorry – I know how frustrating that is! If you like her bags, you could subscribe to her newsletter so maybe next time you'll get more notice. I just looked and the one I wanted was gone too!

I guess I need a summer purse....but I can't seem to get myself to switch all my stuff...ther's just too much! Maybe that's why I have tennis elbow lugging my oversized purse around!
Love that Gilda!
I loved the blk & wh fish scale type bag. Oh I am "needing" a new handbag. Notice the word "needing", that is what I tell myself.
Loved Gilda : D
Katiedid - I'm going to try putting my "stuff" in little pouches inside the purse, so it's easier to switch. Do you think that will work?
-Lana
I am with you on the handbags, never too many...
and never too much of Gilda. Thanks for the laughs.

Thanks for introducing me to Gilda Radner - wonderful. Where was I all this time? Over the pond in London, see.

Great handbags and Gilda Radner. How lucky can I get in one blog?? Thanks!
