Recently my friend Margie arrived from Sarasota for a visit. That Margie really knows how to make an entrance!
She made the trip in 15 minutes, without speeding. (Hmmm, not sure what the speed limit is in the air.) By car, the trip would take over an hour.
Margie is another multi-talented woman. Once a corporate and commercial pilot, she now flies her own plane; creates beautiful hand painted decorative tiles; and is writing a novel about old Florida, intrigue, and a family mystery. (I see a movie and screenplay in her future.)
We jumped into the car, and headed straight for Anthropologie! She had never been in one of the stores – only having shopped online – and I think she was amazed at the variety and amount of merchandise.
I noticed that the Hyde Park store has a room vignette with a wall done in a similar fashion. I would love to do something like this in my house.
We left without the book or the lampshade, but had a nice lunch at Mise En Place. We then stopped in at Magnolia for a quick look, and Jeff gave me lots of recommendations for my upcoming trip to NYC. Then it was back to the Davis Islands Airport for Margie's trip home.

It's so glamorous to walk across the flight apron to one's plane and climb in under the wing - no cabin crew, no pilot but yourself. Margie might be interested in my post on glamorous British aviatrix of the 1960s and 70s Sheila Scott.
Rose - I bet she will. I'll forward it to her!

Lana,
That is so fun, thanks for sharing, have you ever flown with her? Gosh a couple of gals could cover many miles that way & have great stories to tell.
Enjoyed stopping by.
