With the letterpressed bright orange band and a matte black hard cover, it's lovely to look at, even when you're in a state of angst. Wire bound, with black pages, $10. For happy thoughts, we'd choose one of these charming botanical notebooks, designed by Hugo Guinness for Marie Papier. The cover is a heavy cardstock with a sewn binding, and the graph paper pages would be perfect for sketching room layouts, $24.
