After visiting Callie Creates and her artful blog (every image she is posting in January is white - as she calls it - creative snowfall), TT was inspired to compile a list of some of our favorite things, rendered in shades of white.

• Ellen Kahn oil painting, New Fruit, 36x44, $3800 • Pair of diamond bangle bracelets by JAR, each set with a cushion-cut diamond in a pavé-set diamond surround and band, mounted in platinum. Photo courtesy of Christie's, estimated value $350,000-$500,000, via Forbes Magazine, 10/09/06 • A modern take on a classic style, table lamp, $484.

• Mini Cooper S convertible, pepper white, $30,550 ... this is definitely on our 'want' list • Callie's delicate, ethereal perforated paper design • Diamond "thread" ring by JAR, set with an old mine-cut diamond weighing approximately 10.12 carats. Photo courtesy of Christie's, estimated value $250,000-$350,000, via Forbes Magazine, 10/09/06

• Zinc Trumeau Mirror with white patina, France, 1880, from Soniat House Antiques via 1st Dibs, $3000 • Creed 'Love In White' perfume ... TT doesn't often wear perfume, but this was the choice for our Tuscan wedding last year • Casa Midy Varenne Opera Chair ... perfection

• Astier de Villate glazed terracotta pottery is made in Paris and based on classic designs, with a real handcrafted look and feel. The furniture is exceptional as well. In the U.S., at Sue Fisher King and John Derian. And the Astier de Villate website is quite fabulous • Stone occasional table, We love it's sculptural shape and the integrity of the material • From the Calvin Klein spring 2008 collection, luxurious minimalism, via style.com
[Essential whites]
• Towels & linens ... Nothing seems cleaner and fresher than white, and it feels so much better next to the skin than colors. Buy the best quality white sheets you can afford. (Fab blogger KatieDid says that sheets in colors, especially dark colors, tend to hang onto oils and become darker with time). Also, practical and time-saving - leaves the torturous decision-making to other areas of home decor.• All white paper towels ... Perfect, quilted, Bounty please, no country cute designs
• All white walls ... Yes, TT admits we only have white walls in our home! (Although we are looking at wallpaper for the laundry room and master closet) Color on the walls gives us claustrophobia, but we do like lots of art.
• White coral
• White sand beaches
• White skivvies ... Right now, it's Calvin Klein's Pure modal camisole and bikinis ... soft, silky and super comfortable. We'll skip the lace, thanks.
• White cotton T-shirts
• A crisp white shirt from Anne Fontaine
• Parchment paper ... indispensible in the kitchen
• Bienfang Graphics 360 translucent marker paper, handy for so many projects (if you'd like your books slipcovered in white, try this - you can see through the paper just enough to read the title)
• White gardens (Sissinghurst Castle gardens designed by Vita Sackville-West)
